What is creative writing?
It is a story, where you use your imagination.
A story is a tale about something that can usually be split into 3 parts: -

Beginning

Middle
-
End
Beginning
- Set the scene - You might want to introduce the main character – Like Billy
- Describe the scene and create atmosphere
- Try to ‘hook’ your reader - you don't need to start the story at the beginning but start with some action and then take the reader back to the beginning
Middle
- The main story
- A journey of good vs. bad, or bad vs. bad, the OH! NO! bit
- The things that stop the character reaching his/her goal
End
- The result or climax
- How the hero wins (or loses)
- The release but... Did Harry kill Voldermort in the first 6 JKR books..No but... he was still released, for a while at least
The great thing about creative writing is that there are no rules, no barriers, anything is possible and everyone can do it, but the reader needs to be taken on a journey making the impossible plausable. The secret is to paint a picture with words.
